Ulrich's Meat Market is located on the south side of the town square in Pella - a heartbeat of Old World Dutch heritage. Shops on the square are built facing the landmark Tulip Tower. It's an inviting atmosphere year-around, but especially noted for the early May Tulip Time Festival when hundreds of thousands of visitors stroll the streets, eat in shops and from vendors and enjoy authentic activities of Holland and its immigrants to America. The streets are filled with historic celebration and the entire city is a showcase of more than 20,000 tulips in bloom.
Just around one corner from the storefront, a several block area of the Netherlands is recreated, the Molengracht, with a canal, drawbridge, musical town clock, brick walkways, hotel accommodations, retail retail shops and eateries in Dutch-flavored architecture. Around another corner is the gateway to Central College, one of the premier Iowa private liberal arts institutions.
